Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Representative to join our team.

As an HSE Representative working 90% in the field, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

You will play a critical role in promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all employees on jobsites and at the main office.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for administering the HSE Plan
  • Reports to the HSE & QA Manager
  • Functional Reporting to the Project Manager of the Project where he/she has been assigned
  • Leads the Toolbox Meeting every day documenting attendees and topics discussed
  • Participates in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Evaluate field safety conditions through audit/monitoring, advise company management on findings
  • Make ongoing shift safety inspections of the Project Site(s) and public areas, and take necessary and timely corrective action(s) to eliminate unsafe acts and/or conditions. Record observations as directed using the Inspection Check List from the General Construction Safety Provisions
  • Ensures that Equipment Inspections are carried out daily or as requested
  • Report and assist in the control of environmental hazards as mandated.
  • Documents and reports to management of supervisors and workers compliance
  • Ensure that all employees, including employees of all subcontractors, vendors and service providers, comply with Project Site's safety rules and regulations, and ensure that the subcontractor's reports are completed according to the rules and regulations stated in the Safety & Health Plan and according to the requirements of the applicable regulatory agencies
  • The Site Safety Representative has the authority and responsibility to immediately correct unsafe conditions and unsafe practices, including suspending work until the unsafe condition or practice is corrected and meets all safety requirements
  • Ensure that newly employed personnel are fully instructed in the Contractor's Safety & Health Plan, and in Fagioli's safety requirements and practices
  • Maintain current MSDS of company hazardous chemicals
  • Review and advise Management of Specialized Workers credentials
  • Implements and monitors emergency action plans
  • Investigates accidents and prepares accident reports
  • Advise Supervisors of site specific policies and procedures
  • Work as a liaison with client representatives, site safety teams, company personnel to achieve site and project safety goals
  • Prepares the HSE documentation in accordance to the requirements.
  • Ensure that the following are posted at a Project Site location visible to all personnel: Emergency Procedures, Emergency Phone Numbers, Job safety and health poster, Notice of workers compensation compliance, OSHA 300 Summary (during February each year)

Desired Competencies

Education and experience requirements include the following:

  • Minimum of 3 years construction/safety experience or equivalent combinations of training and related experience
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulations
  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measure.

Skills

  • Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.
  • Good communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a teamoriented work environment
  • Ability to spend a minimum of 8 hours outdoor in all weather conditions
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
