Associate Attorney (2+ years)

Partner in the Houston office of Brown Sims is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience in civil personal injury, property litigation, and defense work.

The chosen candidate will handle a varied caseload, collaborating closely with a supervising shareholder on cases involving product liability, medical issues, premises liability, property damage, and more.

Responsibilities will include attending depositions, hearings, trial assistance, written discovery, motions practice, and maintaining strong writing skills and work ethic.

Compensation will be competitive and based on experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to handle diverse caseloads from start to finish while working with supervising shareholder.
• Proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Experience in drafting and responding to discovery, creating a discovery plan, and executing a litigation plan.
• Strong communication skills with clients, preparing regular client reports, and conducting depositions, mediations, and court hearings.

This is a full-time position, either in-office or hybrid.
