Overview:
The Illinois Transplant Fund Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Illinois Transplant Fund (ITF) program. Manages and creates patients' profiles to ensure eligibility, on-going coordination with transplant partners, patients and outside partners.

Compensation range for this position is $57,000 - $70,000 annually.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the Illinois Transplant Fund (ITF) mission
  • Advance Gift of Hope's mission, vision and core values: providing compassionate service, contributing outstanding teams and engaging as one of our passionate people committed to a positive culture that embraces diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Adhere to all policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position.
  • Serve as ITF program contact in conjunction with other ITF Program Coordinator(s)
  • Collaborate with other ITF Program Coordinator(s) in compiling applicant information to be presented to the board for review and approval
  • Assist in the tracking of applicant status: approved/pending approval; waiting for transplant/transplanted; premiums up to date/due
  • Prepare monthly insurance premium payment worksheet; work with Gift of Hope Finance to get checks issued and mailed
  • Work with Director, ITF to schedule quarterly board meetings; prepare and distribute materials
  • Maintain minutes, bylaws and board resolutions
  • Work with Director, ITF to develop and maintain informational materials; work with designer on ITF website content
  • Attend community events to educate the public about ITF
  • Stay abreast of changes in the insurance landscape that might impact ITF and/or ITF applicants

Qualifications:

Education and Training Required
The following identifies the minimum education and training required to perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Experience and Skills Required

  • 3 years' experience in comprehensive administrative support role
  • Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Able to maintain confidential information
  • Comfortable working independently and with team members
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) required must have good oral and written command of both languages
  • Working knowledge of insurance options available to noncitizens preferred
