The Sleep Disorders Institute (SDI) is staffed by board certified specialists who have devoted their careers to the practice of sleep medicine.

With combined experience of over 50 years, our doctors are recognized as experts in this field.

The team is skilled in a wide range of specialties including adult and pediatric sleep disorders, adult and adolescent psychiatry, and behavioral sleep disorders.

SDI offers nocturnal polysomnography, split-night polysomnography, nocturnal seizure recording, home sleep testing, multiple sleep latency test, maintenance of wakefulness test, and individual consultation.

SDI has been servicing the New York City area for over 25 years.


Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team.

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting medical administrative functions.

This is a full-time position in office and clinic setting.


Duties:


  • Assist healthcare professionals with medical procedures and examinations
  • Provide medical administrative support, such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, working with physicians, dispatching HST's and coordinating referrals
  • Ensure excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
