Service Technician Branch Manager. Some general information about the position is listed below. Resumes will be accepted immediately.
Under the direction of the President of Service, you will perform specialized and skilled work involving the repair and maintenance of a variety of fire and emergency apparatus.
Summary of Job Description:
Participates in the mechanical repair of fire apparatus equipment, including rebuilding or repair of pumps, valves and other fire related equipment; diagnose customer's complaints and perform corrective actions.
Essential Functions:
- Oversees the operations of location and surrounding mobile technicians
- Assists technicians with troubleshooting and problem solving
- Ensure staffing levels are appropriate for the workload
- Ensure technicians are maintaining billable goals
- Ensures resources are in place for the location to operate effectively
- Ensures requirements are met for the safety and security of the facility and employees
- Ensures techs at the location are compliant with training, certifications, etc
- Asceses training needs for technicians and other branch employees
- Point of contact for customer complaints resolves and/or escalates when appropriate
- Assists service writer with quoting routine jobs, such as overhauls, brake jobs, etc
- Recommends the purchase of additional tools and equipment
- Establishes methods and procedures to help the local facility operate smoothly
- Conducts annual reviews for all personnel at location
- Service Writers, Local Parts Representatives, and Shop Foreman report to this position
Basic/Preferred Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- The applicant may possess any combination of relevant education and experience, which would demonstrate the individual's knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
- Must pass the preemployment
- The ability to pass randomized quarterly alcohol and drug screenings as well
- Must successfully pass the preemployment driver's record check
- Must possess a valid Arizona State Driver's License
- Must obtain CDL within the first 3 months of employment
Distinguishing Features:
- Experience within a manufacturing or operational environment
- Two or more years of mechanical and assembly experience
- Technical or Associate's degree in a relevant Technician or Technology program or equivalent education and/or mechanical training
- Two or more years experience in a management position
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
