Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing leader to oversee and manage our dairy processing facility and team in South Edmeston, NY.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader to make a significant impact on our processing operations and contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities
Oversee associated sub departments within Processing: Milk Receiving, Milk Separation, Pasteurization and yogurt batching, yogurt separation, cream processing, whey/RO processing, and CIP.
Lead and mentor processing team members to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with all cross-functional teams including Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Planning to ensure seamless coordination and execution of business needs.
Be heavily involved in weekly and daily planning to ensure Processing is producing to schedule.Ensure compliance with all legal requirements concerning dairy processing, environmental, safety, and working conditions.
Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor and analyze key performance metrics related to processing operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Prepare and present regular reports on processing performance, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement to senior management.Develop and implement strategies to optimize processing efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
Use root cause analysis tools to identify preventative and corrective actions to address non-conformances.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree is preferred, with 5+ years of experience in operations management.
Positive attitude with the ability to work successfully with diverse populations, promoting and enhancing diversity and inclusion.
Demonstrate a strong sense of business acumen to understand how manufacturing operations impact overall company success.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and optimize processing operations.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs .
