PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities.

We are seeking a talented Accounting Specialist to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy.

This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.

This position will provide day-to-day accounting functions for the commercial accounting operations group. This role is crucial in the inventory valuation calculation and analysis for the Company and its decision making process.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Crude FIFO/LIFO Inventory valuation calculation and analysis
Monitor production and Crude and Feedstock Purchases
Work closely with the billing group to assure accurate payments of Crude and Feedstocks
Analysis of manufacturing costs related to Crude and Feedstocks used in the production of Refined Products
Reconcile CGS accounts to match with monthly cost
Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts
Preparation of all monthly close journal entries and reconciliations related to Raw Materials for a particular refinery.
Maintain SRA Inventory for Crude and Feedstock
Preparation, analysis, and review of weekly forecasts with high exposure to upper management in setting expectations for monthly close results
Preparation of ad hoc and other strategic analyses/projects at the request of management (i.e., preparation of analysis often times are from scratch and recreated from historical results)
Assist in audit requests from Internal and External Auditors

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
SAP experience preferred
Must be proficient in Excel and Word
RightAngle experience preferred
2+ years' experience in accounting/inventory. Oil or Chemical industry preferred
Possess effective communication skills both verbal and written
Working knowledge of accounting theory and principles (GAAP)
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Proficient in accounting and math
Must be able to meet deadlines and adjust to multiple work demands
This position is physically located onsite in Parsippany
