    NSCS is looking for a

    Clinical Coordinator

    to join our team The

    Clinical Coordinator


    will work collaboratively with the Revere Police Department (RPD) to assist the City of Revere with calls for individuals exhibiting signs of mental health related distress.

    They will provide clinical case management and direct emergency psychiatric clinical services to adults, children, youth and families.

    This position may include ride along assistance with Revere Police Officers in order to directly engage with clients in the community in need of acute psychiatric care.

    Clinical case management and support of the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) is an integral part of this position.


    This is an on-site position in Revere, with the expectation of mobile response and co-response with the Revere Police Department and the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU).

    Weekends and Holiday shifts may be needed at times.

    What You'll Do:
    Provide direct emergency psychiatric clinical services to youth and families and other clients.
    Deliver clinical case management and support for the BHU as designated by the BHU Program Coordinator.

    Collaborate directly with the RPD to assist with calls for individuals exhibiting signs of mental health distress and provide real-time support.

    Coordinate disposition planning and treatment services for the direction of the MCI episode of care according to clinical need.

    Provide post-incident follow up with individuals that were engaged with police officers that would benefit from connection to community based providers.

    Fulfill all aspects of YMCI (Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention) MCI specifications which require in-home crisis intervention with youth and families to insure needs of youth and family are met to reduce crisis.

    Provide direct mobile and onsite emergency psychiatric clinical services in coordination with other community service providers.
    Evaluate clients in terms of treatment setting and plan.
    Identify needs and strengths, assist in planning, implementing and evaluating necessary care for clients.

    Coordinate the appropriate network of health and human service agencies to maximize the opportunities for growth and self-reliance for individuals.

    Assess crisis or emergency situations and intervene immediately with appropriate treatment for clients.

    Prepare written/computer case recording documents, within prescribed time limits and attend regularly scheduled meetings with staff, RPD, and the BHU.


    What You'll Need:

    Education:
    Masters degree in relevant human service clinical specialty that is Medicaid reimbursable.


    Experience:
    Knowledge of emergency services procedures required.
    Minimum one year in a psychiatric emergency service or similar setting required.


    Skills and Abilities:
    Must have access to a car and possess a valid driver's license.
    Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
    Must be computer literate.
    Must have knowledge or interest in working directly with law enforcement.
