US Farathane is seeking an Automation Technician at our Austin, TX location.Summary:
- Automation Technician is to build, maintain and troubleshoot robotic and automation systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible to get running the secondary automated equipment during production/
- Troubleshoot nonfunctioning components including servos, sensors, and pneumatic/ control components.
- Part replacement.
- Reporting all regarding to the automation equipment status.
- Support on the quality and continues improvement projects.
- Perform electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic modifications on fixtures.
- Support a team concept of working together in a mutually supportive atmosphere, respecting individuality, encouraging and using suggestions, and expressing appreciation for the efforts of our coworkers at all levels.
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to maximize machine utilization and productivity.
- Fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, or fixtures, using metalworking machines.
- Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Electrical/ Pneumatic background required.
- PLC, controls knowledge (preferred).
