Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Armed Security Officer to join our team.
As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets.
Your primary duty will be to prevent loss and protect against potential threats through surveillance and vigilant monitoring.Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect any unauthorized activity
- Monitor CCTV cameras and other surveillance equipment to ensure the safety of the facility
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all securityrelated activities, including incident reports
- Enforce access control procedures, verifying the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, providing them with necessary information or support
- Perform routine inspections of security equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Assist in emergency situations, such as evacuations or medical emergencies, by following established protocols
- Stay updated on relevant security regulations and best practices
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid armed security officer certificate/license
- Previous experience in loss prevention, law enforcement, or military is highly desirable
- Proficient in operating CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR certification is preferred
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must pass a thorough background check and drug screening
