  • 1 year of experience with consumer mobile product development.
  • Experience with data analysis.

Preferred qualifications:


  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 2 years of experience working crossfunctionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 1 year of experience in software development or engineering.
  • Experience in media recommendation and ranking models.
  • Passion for music culture.

The Music Discovery team works to deliver a positive music experience to every user across the YouTube ecosystem, captivating users with personalized recommendations and an effortless listening experience wherever they choose to engage.

The team is collaborative, working with product and research teams across YouTube and Google. In this role, you will define and launch music experiences for the YouTube Living Room app.


As Product Manager you will be responsible for executing on team priorities, improving the user experience through experimentation and iteration, developing strategy, and driving the roadmap for this area.

You will collaborate with the Living Room team, and work directly with user experience and engineering teams in Music Discovery.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities:


  • Launch new music products and features in the YouTube Living Room app.
  • Improve the music experience for users through experimentation and iteration.
  • Analyze and synthesize data from experimentation, user research, and platform behavior to inform the product roadmap.
  • Develop innovative solutions to problems by collaborating across regions, product areas, and functions.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams on technologies such as machine learning and large language models.
