Description:


  • Full Time (Monday
  • Friday 8:00 am 4:30 pm)
  • Location: Silver Spring, MD
  • Integrated Operations Department
  • This position reports to the Vice-President of the Department
  • Serves as the primary administrative support for the Vice President of the department.

Responsibilities:


  • Under mínimal supervision and according to general directions, performs duties of a highly confidential nature that requires a comprehensive knowledge of organizational policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Composes and prepares complex correspondence, gathers, and interprets information to develop complex reports, maintains departmental files, monitors departmental budgets, and provides exemplary customer service to internal and external customers.

Four to five (4-5) years of related experience, preferably in an executive support role

  • Ability to write and read well enough to proof and edit nonroutine reports and the like for sentence structure and readability as well as draft correspondence, reports at a level normally acquired through completion of college coursework or attendance in a business school.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary in order to be socially perceptive in accepting and communicating confidential information, communicating policies and dealing with a variety of HCH personnel and influential outsiders, including board members.
  • A moderate level of analytical ability is necessary in order to gather and interpret data from diverse sources and resolve moderately complex administrative problems.
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle complaints diplomatically is essential.
  • Ability to develop and maintain efficient records management system.
  • Proficiency in operation of standard office equipment.
