    Description


    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Assists in the development, implementation, review and management of SQF plans to achieve/maintain level of certification at the facility(s) and to assist in meeting all SOPAKCO requirements related to quality and food safety programs.
    • Assists Regulatory Manager in preparation for and during regulatory and 3rd party audits.
    • Coordinates with the Regulatory Manager to maintain documents, forms, and forms register to ensure document control for the facility.
    • Coordinates with Regulatory Manager, QA Supervisor, and QA Director to maintain QSP instructions and procedures to ensure DLA compliancy.
    • Coordinates with Regulatory Manager on implementing and maintaining policies.
    • Maintains corrective action log and charts. Coordinates with managers to confirm completion of findings.
    • Maintains internal facility audit schedules and updates annually. Performs internal audits. Coordinates with Regulatory Manager on performing training with managers and ensures findings are completed in a timely manner.
    • Coordinates with all departments to request records related to SQF verification purposes. Maintains a log of all records reviewed.
    • Verifies records and trends are correct for SQF validation purposes.
    • Maintains all verification and validation files.
    • Maintains and trends pest finding records. Coordinates with QA Director, Regulatory Manager and pest personnel on pest issues, pest devices, documentation, and trending issues.
    • Assists the Regulatory Manager with the development, implementation, review, and maintenance requirements related to special food certification compliance (i.e. Halal, Organic, and GFCO).
    • Coordinates with HACCP Coordinator on maintaining the HACCP Plan.
    • Coordinates with Regulatory Manager in preparing for SQF meetings: create PowerPoint presentation with trending, issues, and corrective actions. Create SQF test for training purposes for all employees. Take minutes for the SQF meeting.
    • Assists Regulatory Manager in preparing for annual validation testing.
    Requirements

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
    • Completion of Better Process Control School is recommended.
    • High school diploma or GED is required.
    • HACCP and PCQI Course Training is required.
    • Must have good computer skills to include Microsoft Office.
    JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
    • Must be able to read, write legibly, and complete basic math tasks.
    • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently without a lot of direct supervision, asking questions when necessary, and following written instructions (verbal and written).
    • Must have regular communication with Regulatory Manager.
    • Must be able to coordinate various issues within management staff. (verbal and written communication)
    • Must have good eyesight.
    • Must have basic computer skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, copying & scanning, and E-mail.
    • Must be able to coordinate organic certification, Halal certification, GFCO certification, HACCP requirements.
    TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
    • GMP'S/SQF
    • Internal Audit
    • HACCP and FSMA
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Light physical effort, typically filing and desk work.

    PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)

    Safety equipment to be used as instructed.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    • Work performed in a plant environment.
    • Exposed to any number of elements (heat, steam and cold)
