    CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer IIIto join our Power & Manufacturing - Advanced Energy/Generation & Energy Management Team at our office in either Colonie, NY or Parsippany, NJ.

    YOUR IMPACT:

    CHA is a leader in sustainable district energy, power and thermal generation systems. Our approach includes critical systems that are maintainable and operable with redundant, fail-safe backups. Our expertise encompasses gas turbines, steam turbines, reciprocating engines, gas plants, biomass plants, coal-fired boiler plants, chiller plants, high-voltage substation, and more. From the early stages of master planning and permitting through comprehensive detailed design, we partner with our clients to create solutions that provide reliable, sustainable energy.

    The Electrical Engineer III conducts the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of technical various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. The professional in this role works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

    The Electrical Engineer III monitors progress and performance against the project plan and acts immediately to resolve operational problems and minimize delays, as well as recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results, and makes appropriate corrections. Additionally, the professional in this role identifies, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
    • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
    • Minimum 3 years; related engineering experience required
    • Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the respective engineering field as well as proven ability to practically apply it in a professional environment
    • Proficient in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
    • Understands QA/QC procedures
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
    • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
    • Participation in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
