Position Summary


The Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the HR team and focuses on building relationships within Colorcon and provides exceptional HR support to designated locations/departments.

Areas of focus will include employee relations, performance management, recruiting & onboarding, and learning &development.

The HR Generalist is responsible for advancing the company's employee value proposition through compensation analysis, HR metrics and other critical initiatives.

This role will work in a team and on their own to support Colorcon's policies, programs, and strategic objectives for both the HR Department and the North America Latin America North Region.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Serve as a partner to the West Point site for all aspects of Human Resources.
  • Partner with business units to maintain cohesiveness as it pertains to employee relations.
  • Attend weekly departmental meetings, liaise with team leaders, supervisors, and managers on a weekly basis, and be responsive with advice on coaching, counseling, investigations, disciplines, and terminations.


  • Partner with Supervisor

  • Talent Acquisition to ensure culture and job fit for all level positions within scope of responsibility.
  • Develop and provide HR metrics and peoplerelated analysis of available data to assist HR Manager and business leaders with actionable information.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to increase the efficiency of departments and services performed (LEAN thinking).
  • Maintain current and compliant on HR Employment laws and regulations.
  • Exhibit the six values of Colorcon.
  • Identify ways to increase quality of the Colorcon employee experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Minimum three years' experience working in HR required.
  • Ability to collect, compile and analyze data.
  • Experience with training and organizational development.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Oracle HRMS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coach, lead, and partner with employees across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple competing deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity.

Work Environment

  • This role operates in a professional office environment onsite at a manufacturing facility and is required to be onsite minimum of 4 days/week, with option for 1 remote day/week.
  • Working remotely from a home office will be facilitated when applicable and is at the manager's discretion.
  • Ability to travel to up to 10%, annually.
