NCTA seeks a pro-active, confident Department Coordinator who will provide confidential and high-level administrative support to the Senior Vice President, attorneys, and staff in the Legal Department.


_ Essential Functions__:

_**- Coordinates internal and external meetings, conference calls, and Zoom meetings including monthly Legal Regulatory Lunches and Monthly Programmer Lunches with member company representatives and meetings with FCC staff.


  • Drafts correspondence; proofread documents with high degree of accuracy; prepares correspondence for SVP's signature.
  • Maintains and regularly updates department's corporate, program network, Washington counsel, FCC and other committee and working group lists.
  • Maintains logs of department's dues and subscriptions.
  • Processes all legal bills and invoices, including those from outside counsel and consultants.
  • Maintains and reconciles expense reports for SVP and other department attorneys and staff.
  • Assists with the production and filing of comments and pleadings.
  • Handles special projects for attorneys and other staff.
  • Compiles updates to the Board Book and weekly department reports.
  • Works with SVP during budget review process.
  • Updates Department library.
  • Makes travel arrangements for SVP.
  • Ensures confidentiality of department information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Background/Skills/Abilities Preferred_

  • Legal secretarial or paralegal experience preferred.
  • Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex meetings requiring interaction with both internal and external executives and assistants
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
  • Flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential/sensitive matters in a discrete and professional manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • A selfstarter that takes initiative and is a team player
This position normally operates in a professional office environment.

However, remote work may take place due to COVID-19 and any other pandemic or for any reason as determined by NCTA's CEO.
