    Description


    The Director of Quality is responsible for planning, developing, and directing quality systems, policies, programs, and initiatives to ensure all company products and services meet customer expectations and to protect the company's interests.

    The position directly supervises a team of quality personnel involved with the development and production of mechanical, electronic, and software products and services.

    The director collaborates with team members in every aspect of the business. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

    East central IL, Champaign-Urbana area – lots of room or city living, low cost of living

    Full-Time, Direct-Hire, On-Site position
    Salary $150k+ (based on experience) +a solid bonus program

    Drive the development and implementation of quality control systems (QMS), to ensure product reliability and customer satisfaction in new product development

    Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals to maintain high standards of excellence
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for continuous improvement and process optimization
    Oversee compliance with industry regulations and standards to maintain product integrity and safety
    Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers to support quality initiatives
    Utilize data-driven decision-making to monitor and improve quality metrics and KPIs
    Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality issues and drive long-term solutions
    Consistently identify opportunities to improve departmental processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness
    Oversee a growing quality department of product development, manufacturing and service with 7-10 reports, expected to increase

    Requirements

    10-20 years of manufacturing experinece
    10+ years of Quality industrial experience
    4 or more years of Quality Management
    Bachelor's degree, technical field (i

    e:
    Engineering)
    Experience with electrical / electronic product development and manufacturing (i

    e:
    PCB, Wire Harnesses, semiconductor use in manufacturing, lighting, power supplies, industrial and commercial products)
    Proven ability to drive change, lead, mentor, grow a team
    Knowledge and / or familiarity with KPI, GMP, NPI, Six-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, QMS
