- Performs specific tasks as directed by the RN and other healthcare team members as identified in the PCT role. Consults and seeks out guidance from RN and/or other healthcare team members, as appropriate and when completing new or unfamiliar tasks or duties.

- This position may be assigned a specific mission to address in an emergency situation to assist in disaster response and recovery as part of UPHDM Hospital Emergency Incident Command System. Situations of critical nature may require and individual to perform multiple tasks until additional support can be obtained.
- Ability to identify patients' needs and implement nursing care for a group of patients under the supervision of a RN/Clinical Instructor.

Responsible for a variety of tasks and services to assist in the provision of care and comfort for patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).Performs procedures for patients and provides technical services and support.
Identifies patients' needs and implements care for a group of patients under the supervision of a RN applying skills learned in their initial nursing coursework.

Minimum Requirements

Education:
Enrolled in a formal BSN or ADN nursing program to include completion of introductory clinical nursing course with clinical component.
Team members within UPH-DM may remain in Student Nurse tech role for up to 6-months after passing the board and achieving RN license.
Experience:
Completion of 1 RN clinical rotation
Six months of nursing assistant experience
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Must possess and maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or obtain certification within three months from date of hire.
