Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Healthcare Manager to join our team.

As a Healthcare Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a medical office or healthcare facility.

Your role will involve managing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and supervise the daytoday operations of the healthcare facility
  • Coordinate patient care activities and ensure efficient workflow
  • Oversee medical records management, including proper documentation and recordkeeping
  • Verify insurance coverage and process claims
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care
  • Train and mentor staff members on best practices and procedures
  • Monitor budget and expenses to ensure financial stability

Skills:


  • Strong knowledge of medical office operations and procedures
  • Proficient in insurance verification and claims processing
  • Familiarity with ICD10 and ICD9 coding systems
  • Experience in managing medical records and maintaining confidentiality
  • Knowledge of dental office operations is a plus
  • Understanding of managed care systems and reimbursement processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Proficient in medical terminology




EDUCATION:
Equivalent
experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

HS Diploma or equivalent education/experienceTYPICAL EXPERIENCE:1 year recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Medical terminology, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT)/Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS)/International Classification of Diseases (ICD)-9 coding knowledge.
Knowledge of medical terminology/anatomy.
Ability to exercise discretion and make independent judgments, seeking review when decisions represent significant departure from established guidelines.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word or similar programs.
Ability to maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions.
Active listening skills; including interpersonal skills and telephone communication.
Organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up.
