We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our growing team The Quality Assurance Technician's key roles are to manage sample processing and to assist with the quality receiving process.

This is a critical role within the quality team that involves maintaining quality standards and meeting regulatory requirements.

The Quality Assurance Technician will report directly to the Quality Assurance/Compliance Manager.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and manage the sample room and sample inventory including processing and shipping samples.
  • Reinspect incoming material and thoroughly and accurately complete the Quality Receiving Checklist.
  • Maintain adequate levels of stock item samples.
  • Create and proofread labels for both sample and 'rebranded' product labels that require Vivion's logo and identification.
  • Maintain set sample turnaround time.
  • Maintain a high level of sanitation awareness and implement corrective actions in situations that warrant it.
  • Weigh the sample and package it securely.
  • Include any other documents as requested on the sample request.
  • Package the sample securely in an appropriately sized box and affix the courier label (FedEx, UPS, etc) for shipment.
  • Log all the sample details.
  • Accurately, update and maintain the sample inventory. Work closely with the purchasing team to obtain nonstocked samples from suppliers.

Job Requirements:


  • 15 years of previous quality or technical experience desired.
  • A degree in Chemistry or Biology is not required but is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer literacy to be successful in all tasks.
  • A focused team player.
  • Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Occasionally may be required to lift up to 55 pounds.
