CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT


Title Transfer Technician Trainee is the trainee level within the Title Transfer Technician series; incumbents are eligible for promotion to Title Transfer Technician I (up to $58,884 annually with a Modified Benefit Option which offers a wage differential up to $1.75/hour) upon meeting the minimum qualifications for Title Transfer Technician I and receipt of a satisfactory work performance evaluation.

Incumbents must promote within 18 months or be terminated.


1) **Applicant must successfully pass a background check prior to appointment.


2) Travel throughout the County may be required. A valid California Class C driver license is required at time of appointment; employees in this class may be required to use personal vehicles and show proof of automobile liability insurance.


Minimum Requirements:


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

OPTION 1

  • Must possess one (1) year of fulltime equivalent work experience in a title company or comparable organization processing legal property documents that are used to transfer interest in real property.***
    OPTION 2
  • Must possess six (6) months of fulltime equivalent work experience in a California Assessor or Recorder office assisting the public and/or appraisal staff with property information.
    OPTION 3
  • Fifteen (15) semester (23 quarter) units of completed college coursework in business/public administration or other related field.***

    MUST have been obtained within the last five (5) years.

  • Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.
