Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Community Health Representative, Per Diem - Bilingual English/Spanish - Mineola.

Responsibilities:

Conduct community and/or patient outreach by attending and/or coordinating health fairs, community forums, etc.
Assist in the creation of culturally specific handouts, flyers, and other materials related to the study.
Develop new and foster existing relationships with community and/or patient population to support study recruitment and enrollment.
Conduct intake or interviews/surveys with patients; keep participants motivated and engaged in the program or study.
Keep organized patient material, including logs, data files, and data entry.
Attend trainings as required by NYULH, funding agency, and/or research study team.
Work as part of a research team

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish; Experience in community settings; Effective Oral, written communication and interpersonal skills; Empathetic, reliable, resourceful, and strong desire to help people.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of work and/or volunteer in community-based clinical or social service delivery. Familiarity with community-based organizations, community leaders, and community resources. Available to work evenings and weekends. Available to travel throughout Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island. Ability to juggle priorities and manage time; work well under pressure. Good advocacy and community organizing skills. Basic computer knowledge/skills required. Strong organizational skills. Works well with a wide range of people. Strictly adhere to data privacy and confidentiality protocols. Handle particpant information securely and in compliance with relevant regulations

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

The salary range for the role is $ $36.18 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.

The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
