    YOUR DAY TO DAY:

    Provide drafting support to multiple teams and multiple projects.

    YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

    • Prepare 3D CAD designs using input from mechanical, electrical and RF engineers
    • Prepare accurate, detailed and clear 2D drawings from 3D models
    • Clean up, correct or improve substandard 3D CAD data
    • Provide drafting support to multiple teams and multiple projects, with priority guidance from supervisor
    • Submit 2D/3D drawings and revisions for review/approval using Product Data Management software

    YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IS YOU HAVE:

    • 3+ years experience in 2D drawing/drafting (SolidWorks essential)
    • 3+ years experience in 3D CAD design (SolidWorks essential)
    • 2+ years experience documenting engineering processes and changes (ECN/ECR)
    • Knowledge of CAD administration (PDM software, drawing templates, title blocks, CAD libraries)
    • Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerancing (GD&T), ASME Y14.5
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Strong computer skills
    • General knowledge of fabrication techniques (material stock, machining, welding, assembly)
    • Knowledge of antennas, satellite communications is a bonus
    • Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changes in processes and priorities
    • Able to work in a multi-discipline team environment
    • Self-motivated attitude and the initiative to push towards accomplishing established goals
    • This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person" as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
