Position Overview:


As a
_Production Technician_, you're a member of a production crew, reporting to a supervisor of an assigned production area.

You will contribute to the success of Ball by observing operating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility.

The Fort Atkinson plant is high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment. Our crews work 12.25 hour days; 3 days on/3 days off; rotates days to nights every nine weeks. Can line starts at 5:45 AM/PM and Ends at 6:00 PM/AM


Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc.


  • Operate, adjust, and repair highspeed production equipment to meet plant production goals.
  • Assist with performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Inspect aluminum for proper quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.

Required Experience and Skills:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • 1year minimum experience in a mechanical jobrelated field with demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.

Preferred Experience and Skills:


  • 2 years' work experience in a highspeed manufacturing environment.

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:


  • Hot/Cold working conditions.
  • Loud /Noisy environment.
  • Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
  • Climbing (stairs, and other equipment as necessary).

  • Starting Hourly Rate: $30.40
