Key Responsibilities:

Saddle Assembly:Expertly assemble various components of saddles including seat, skirt, billets, and hardware.

Quality Control:Inspect each saddle component for quality, ensuring that finished products meet our rigorous standards for craftsmanship and durability.

Problem Solving:Identify and address any issues or discrepancies in assembly, taking proactive measures to maintain production efficiency and product excellence.

Collaboration:Work closely with other members of the production team, including designers, leatherworkers, and finishers, to coordinate efforts and streamline the assembly process.

Adherence to Specifications:Follow precise instructions and specifications for saddle assembly, maintaining consistency and accuracy in every detail.

Equipment Maintenance:Maintain and operate assembly tools and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety protocols are observed.

Continuous Improvement:Stay informed about industry trends, techniques, and innovations in saddle construction, and actively seek opportunities for skill development and process enhancement.

Duties:Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in saddle assembly or related field, with a demonstrated track record of crafting highquality saddles
  • Proficiency in saddle construction techniques, including knowledge of different saddle styles, materials, and components.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced production environment.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving production methods and technologies.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to stand and move around for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand strength for handling tools and materials.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a production environment with exposure to various materials and chemicals.

Work Environment:


  • Fastpaced manufacturing environment with production targets and deadlines.
  • Exposure to various leatherworking tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Collaborative team environment with opportunities for learning and growth.

Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional training or certification in saddle making or related field preferred.
