The opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead, HR Systems Security to manage our HR Systems security framework, establishing security standards and monitoring system changes across the full HR Systems ecosystem.

This role is critical to ensuring users have access to the systems, functionality and data they need and to assuring compliance with privacy and change control policies.


How you will contribute:

HR Systems Access Expert:
  • An expert in HR Cloud systems (Workday in particular), advises on best practice security framework solutions, including how to leverage security group design and business process policy configuration.
  • Continuously works to deepen their knowledge of HR Systems security and works with increasingly complex technical challenges
  • Actively monitors and evaluates the technical landscape and anticipates new trends and needs
  • Point of contact for HR Systems security and reporting on whom less experienced team members depend for troubleshooting, expertise and insight
  • Responsible for proactively supporting other team members in their technical upskilling and for tracking and addressing overall team security bench strength

Establishes & Monitors Compliance Controls:
  • Updates and maintains system security and data access standards and guidelines
  • Peer reviewer for major security and reporting changes prior to Production release to ensure system changes are sustainable and to prevent the accumulation of technical debt
  • Work closely with HR Governance to meet audit requirements

Builds World-Class Security Solutions:
  • Works closely with HR Systems and Data users to develop an indepth understanding of needs and proactively anticipate future requirements
  • Designs and manages the implementation of security solutions that remove unnecessary technical and process barriers to systems, analytics and data
  • Works with project teams as a strategic advisor on security best practices and to provide troubleshooting and problemsolving expertise for complex technical challenges
  • Leverages a deep understanding of HR system security to identify opportunities to reduce or eliminate technical debt and to redesign underlying frameworks to enable future HR Systems initiatives

Manage day-to-day HR Systems Security activities:
  • Responsible for managing day-to-day operational work, collaborating with the other Technical Leads and the Analysts, to ensure that incoming work is properly assess, triaged and completed
  • Responsible for building an easily navigable HR system and data request and provisioning process that supports data transparency and privacy compliance
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce, automate or streamline daytoday securityrelated operational work in order to free up time for the team to focus on strategic work

What you will bring with you:
  • University degree with 6-10 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years' of increasingly complex experience implementing or redesigning Workday HCM
  • Experience with Workday Advanced Security is required, including intersection and aggregation security groups
  • ITIL Certification or related experience in risk management for cloud technologies
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and quickly able to learn new systems
  • Proven ability to develop strong partnerships and translate business requests into reliable technical solutions
