Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Neuropsychology Technician.


Responsibilities:


  • Administers screenings, neuropsychological tests, and questionnaires, under direct supervision of a licensed psychologist.
  • Performs other appropriate duties as assigned
  • Demonstrates continued proficiency in skills required to administer standardized tests to assigned patient population.
  • Assists with preparation of (1) manuscripts for publication (2) literature review (3) workshops/presentations and (4) progress reports to funding agencies and IRB.
  • Creates and manages data tracking systems for clinical and research treatment activities. Manages and maintains databases in Excel, Access, Filemaker, and SPSS as well as training software used by the program. Manages edits and maintains audiovisual equipment needed for program implementation.
  • Manages patient interactions including interviews, telephone inquiries, correspondence and other tasks assigned by the program manager.
  • Explains information to patients and their families, interacts with professional referral sources, provides program information, and obtains informed consent when indicated.
  • Determines patient eligibility for participation in clinical and/or research programs.
  • Completes statistical analysis and designs/creates databases as needed.
  • Scores test protocols according to manual
- or software-based instructions. Enters raw and appropriately normed test scores into tabular format for data summary reports and into clinical registries and/or research databases.


Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in psychology or related field.


Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree or Master's - level coursework. Supervised neuropsychological testing experience.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

The salary range for the role is $41, $55,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.

The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
