We're looking for an appliance installer to fill the role of Apprentice/Experienced Customs Appliance Installer with our rapidly growing Dallas Division Custom Installation Team.

Experience is a plus, but apprenticeship opportunities are available.

Training includes but is not limited to brand specific certifications, and licensing in electrical and gas as required by the Texas Department of Licensing and the Texas Railroad Commission.

As a skilled professional, individuals will work with premium brand products in various settings, including residential homes, offices, and retail spaces.

An Appliance Installer is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of household and commercial appliances with the primary objective to ensure the proper functioning and safe operation of appliances for customers.


Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Proven experience as an Appliance Installer or similar role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification in appliance installation is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of appliance installation, repair, and maintenance techniques as well as knowledge in a wide range of household and commercial appliances.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools required for installations and repairs as well as ability to use various style dollies, shoulder straps, etc.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds individually or as a team over various terrain, steps, stairs, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of or ability to learn apps and various programs to document job installations on various mobile devices is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience/license are a plus but not required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to work in all seasons and temperatures of weather.

Additional Benefits

  • TRRC certification + manufacture certification will be offered and paid by FBS Appliance. Once certification is attained that will be an additional
    $1.00/hr increase in pay.
  • TDLR licensed + manufacture certification will be offered and paid by FBS Appliance. Once certification is attained that will be an additional
    $2.00/hr increase in pay.
  • All installers will need to complete an internal training program, which includes the completion of JENNAIR, MONOGRAM certification, Texas railroad commission certification and Texas department of licensed.
