    THIS ROLE REQUIRES 3 DAYS A WEEK ONSITE WORK IN LOS ANGELES (NEAR THE FINANCIAL DISTRICT).

    KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Scrum Master: Agile (Scrum / Kanban) / Agile coaching & Jira best practices

    The Sr. Scrum Master has a key role within an Agile delivery team as it removes any impediments that obstruct a team's pursuit of its sprint goals and ultimately delivers products that generate business value for the organization

    Responsibilities

    As the Sr. Scrum Master, you will have the following responsibilities:

    • Enables Agile teams to follow an agile development process that seamlessly aligns with business and technical needs
    • Proactively help the team accelerate the speed of delivering value to our business, improve predictability, increase quality of deliverables and establish a culture of self-organization
    • Facilitate medium to high complexity Agile initiatives from initiation through release, providing oversight to ensure alignment with Agile/Scrum practices
    • Accountable along with the Agile team for the achievement of PI Objectives
    • Manage risk to delivery by raising / resolving impediments in a timely manner
    • Proactive management of external dependencies
    • Create/maintain the appropriate vehicles for open communication within the scrum team (e.g. tracker boards) to create a trusting and safe team environment
    • Track & report team progress leveraging appropriate Agile metrics (i.e. Capacity, Burndown, Velocity charts, etc.)
    • Facilitate Scrum team ceremonies; Daily Stand Up, Refinement, Planning, Demos & Retrospectives
    • Provide updates on Team's progress against goals, proactively manage dependency communications & provide appropriate watch out items in the Scrum of Scrums
    • Proactive cross-functional communication, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes; anticipate need and proactively report team progress and accomplishment(s) up and across
    • Facilitate discussion leading to collective decision-making, goal setting and conflict resolution within the team
    • Comply fully with all firm policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirement(s)
    • Navigate and identify shared IT services required by the team in the delivery of its objectives
    • Ability to identify and propose areas of improvement

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

    • Bachelor degree is a plus, especially one in Computer Science
    • Agile Scrum / SAFe Certified Agile Practitioner / Certified Scrum Master certs are a plus
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more agile methodologies (Scrum, LeSS, Kanban, XP, TDD) for software development and how they can be applied in a product development / program delivery environment
    • Minimum 5 years proficiency with Jira or other Agile Management tools
    • Expert in Agile environment using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum, XP, Kanban, or other Agile methodologies.
    • Extensive knowledge of Jira best practices, including workflow, board setup and issue type hierarchy
    • Experience leading distributed/virtual teams
    • Experience operating within various agile frameworks and implementation of Agile methodologies to multiple teams in large-scale enterprise change projects & programs
    • Growth mindset, learning mindset, strategic thinking
    • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
    • Organizational change management experience
    • Ability to influence at all levels without straight line authority
    • Experience with modern software engineering techniques such as Continuous integration, build, deliver, test-driven development and other automated acceptance testing techniques
    • Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing, fluid and dynamic environment
    • Highly collaborative, excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with diverse personality types
    • Motivate and enable the Agile teams to be self-organized and make them feel like awesome team members
    • Good understanding of SDLC and the components within SDLC
