HVAC, Mechanical and Plumbing Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of any project and is the face of the company to our client representatives and therefore is key to our business success.
Some of the most important duties involve working with customers to help find construction solutions to meet their specific needs, professional management of the customer's project and aiding the development of business relationships that will further the success of all.
Additional key duties are establishing and/or managing to the construction schedule as well as the construction budget, including the performance and costs of subcontractors and vendors.
Projects range from $100K to $8 Million.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Includes the following**:
Works with the General Contractor to establish, implement, and enforce policies and procedures in compliance with corporate standards, job specifications and relevant laws and regulations; identifies the need for and implements corrective action; and ensures overall contractual compliance.
Thoroughly understands the contract and ensures accurate execution of plans, specifications, and statement of work, performance, task orders and all other project-related plan procedures.
- Establishes and or implements the project schedule and budget.
- Monitors the progress schedule and budget to ensure that project is completed timely within budget.
- Ensures manpower needs are met during each phase of work
- Review all project invoicing from Subs & Vendors for accuracy and approve for payment
- Prepare and or review all material and equipment submittals
- Reviews subcontractor and vendor scopes to ensure the project requirements are filly accounted for
- Tracks and enters into the project management software changes in cost and scope
Qualifications:
- Five (+) year's successful experience as a Project Manager
- Five (+) years of construction field experience in the role of Quality Control Manager, Construction Superintendent, and/or Field Foreman with Project Manager experience
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Construction, Construction Management, or equivalent (would be a plus)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Technical ability to understand drawings and specifications
- Strong business writing and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of Timberline Software or other project management software
- Advanced abilities in current versions of MS Office (word, Excel, Outlook)
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking and comprehension)
- Demonstrated knowledge of business and management principles required for strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership and coordination of project resources
- Willingness and care to look out for projects and company's bottom line profitability
- Capability to working through or diffusing intense situations as they come up on assigned projects
