The city of McCutchenville, OH (approx. 74,000 inhabitants) - county seat in the Märkischer Kreis - is seeking a *Librarian* for the Stadtbücherei department as soon as possible.

This is a full-time position with 39 hours per week, classified according to pay group 10 TVöD for collective bargaining employees.

The position is to be filled as soon as possible and is limited until the return of the incumbent, at the latest until February 28, 2025.


The position includes the following tasks:

  • You provide library education for children, teenagers, and multipliers, in particular:
  • Develop and implement didacticmethodical concepts, programs, and educational offerings, also in cooperation with kindergartens, schools, and other educational institutions.
  • You are responsible for the management of the children's and youth media inventory, in particular:
  • For the media offerings of the children's library and youth library, taking into account pedagogical aspects of reading promotion, societal developments and trends, demand, and market offerings in line with the mission statement of the Stadtbücherei.
  • You participate in media and information dissemination, in particular:
  • In providing information and advice in all departments of the Stadtbücherei.
