MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversight of all Box Office Staff & Functions within Van Andel Arena, DeVos Performance Hall, and DeVos Place.
  • Oversight of all Front of House Staff & Functions within Van Andel Arena, DeVos Performance Hall, and DeVos Place.
  • Schedule/Manage Event (After) Hours Receptionist Staff.
  • Provide Support in the Building/Managing of Ticketmaster/AXS ticketed events.
  • Provide Support in Event Day Management of the Box Office and Front of House.
  • Assist with Training of Assistant Box Office Managers in the Building/Managing of Events within Ticketmaster and AXS.
  • Assist with Hiring/Orientation/Training of Part Time Ticket Sellers and Front of House Staff.
  • Support venue tenants and frequent users in new ticketing technologies involving sales and distribution (Archtics, Account Manager, AXS, Platinum, etc.)
  • Develop new VIP ticketing programs within our venues enhancing the experiences of all patrons including Premium Seat and Suite Holders.
  • Evaluate and assist in the implementation of new revenue enhancement ideas both in the box office and other areas of the facility operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with venue tenants, show promoters, tour management, and internal ASM departments promoting organizational efficiency.
  • Work with the finance department on the balancing of receipts and proper recording of sales by event.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests within our facilities.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays a MUST.
  • All other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to handle cash, basic accounting, and prior ticket sales a MUST.
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills required.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Windows.
  • Ticketmaster HOST and ARCHTICS experience preferred, but not mandatory.
