- Assists in the development of standardized work processes, process improvements, work instructions, training on processes, and supervises daily quality operations.
- Provides overall employee/team development strategies through training, coaching, counseling, and performance measurement.
- Evaluates employee areas of improvement and implements strategies relating to employee development.
- Monitors and reports daily quality activities with regards to SPC and non-conformance.
- Identifies, develops, and implements strategies to attain quality targets with respect to production demands.
- Participation in the Layered Process Audit schedule.
- Participation in the Internal ISO9001/IATF 16949 Audit schedule (applies only to certified ISO 9001/IATF 16949 internal auditors).
- Participation and cooperation in answering questions and providing information for internal and external audits regarding or related to ISO 9001/IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and customer standards.
- Sets and enforces standards for determining non-conforming materials and scrap review.
- Leads daily quality meetings to communicate quality goals and provide feedback on overall team performance.
- Related Associates or Bachelors degree, but will consider equivalent experience, 2 to 1 work to education:
- Experience with implementing new program layouts, utilizing APQP, PPAP submissions and control plans;
- Six Sigma certification preferred;
- Should have a minimum of 5 years Quality experience and a minimum of 3 years working in an automotive QA or QC environment with 5 years experience supervising people.
- Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, and indicators;
- Must have the ability to read blueprints and knowledge of GD&T;
- Needs to be a strong team player, with exceptional organizational and problem solving skills (*D);
- Excellent computer efficiency, positive motivation people skills and excellent written and verbal communication ability.
- Adhere to Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies.
