- Professional caregiver who performs patient assessment
- Develops, implements and evaluates effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses.
- Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations.
- Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals.
- Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students and volunteers, as appropriate.
- Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.
- RN Experience:
- One (1) year of critical care experience in a setting such as ICU, ED, PACU as a Registered Nurse required only if no previous experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) or Cardiac Cath Lab within the past 5 years.
- Must be able to scrub and circulate in IR and/or Cath Lab procedure area.
- Must be able to take call and able to do heavy lifting and pushing. Must be able to wear protective lead apron and thyroid shield.
- Provide nursing support for non-invasive cardiology and radiology services.
- RN Transitional Experience:
- Two (2) years of full-time experience in an acute care hospital (all departments; with exception to Surgery). Surgery department would consider one-year full-time experience in a surgery center.
