    This opportunity is a chance to land with a premier Colorado-based GC that has a great pipeline of K-12 projects and very strong ESOP program.

    Client Details

    This Colorado based construction company is a leading General Contractor/Construction Manager established more than 70 years ago. They are a leader in the Michigan market with a track record of excellent clients and a strong pipeline of diverse commercial projects. The company prides itself on its family atmosphere and has established a fantastic company culture for all employees. They are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to join the team.

    Description

    Key responsibilities for a commercial Construction Superintendent (Denver, Castle Rock and Colorado Springs, CO) include:

    • Provide daily, on-site, project management and be responsible for all aspects of the project.
    • Negotiate all trade and vendor pricing per project to reach profitable agreements.
    • Determine needed site resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to
    • finish with attention to the project budget.
    • Plan all construction operations and schedule all work on-site to ensure deadlines will be met.
    • Assist in ordering materials and supplies.
    • Schedule deliveries on-site.
    • Provide a daily client update including project progress report and photographs; keep a daily log of what took place on-site for each project.
    • Communicate with the client daily about the project and be prepared to answer their questions.
    • Award all trade contracts and allocate their responsibilities.
    • Communicate quality and performance standards to all trade contractors and vendors.
    • Strive for no-defect, no schedule delay construction.
    • Supervise the work of each project on-site and provide guidance as needed.
    • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards on the job site.
    • Create the Project Close Out binder.

    Profile

    • A successful candidate for commercial Construction Superintendent (Denver, Castle Rock and Colorado Springs, CO) includes:
      • 4+ years of experience as commercial construction superintendent
      • Ground up experience is required
      • Experience in commercial, k-12 health care, retail, industrial or hospitality experience is preferred
      • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, FastTrack, as well as other software platforms
      • OSHA certified required
      • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
      • Willing to learn & grow within the company
      • Track record of previous success within a reputable commercial GC
