Location: Grandville, MI **Job Description**
**Summary of Position:**
The Food Runner position performs as an assistant to the servers to enhance the level of service in the restaurant. The Food Runner must properly plate and garnish each food item to ensure a consistent "Picture Perfect" appearance to the guests. This Team Member will delver finished menu items to our guests in a timely and efficient manner, and assist in delivering Legendary Service.
**Duties & Responsibilities****:**
Guest Service
Thorough knowledge of correct ingredients, descriptions, presentation and garnish for each menu item
To properly plate and garnish each menu item to ensure a consistent Picture Perfect appearance.
Delivering finished menu items to our guests in a timely and efficient manner, making sure all food items that are ordered by each table are delivered together
Responsible for proper maintenance and sanitation of expo line area and all expo line equipment
Opening side work / Station set-up
Engage in friendly conversation as interact with guests
Serve by position number. Never auction off food.
Pre-Bus tables quickly and efficiently whenever needed and inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
Make sure the guest has everything they need to enjoy their meal. Make a visual and verbal check of each table to see that everything is provided, including condiments, seasoning, plates and silverware. Communicate any food or beverage requests to the server and take care of things that are needed at the table
**Requirements**
**Qualifications:**
No previous restaurant experience required.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Must have exceptional grooming habits.
Be personable, friendly and outgoing.
**Skills Needed:**
Active Listening- giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Speaking- talking to others to convey information effectively
Social Perceptiveness- being aware of others' reactions and understanding why the react as they do.
Hospitality Orientation- actively looking for ways to help people.
Reading Comprehension- understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
Coordination- adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
