Duties:


  • Serve as the KACH Human Protections Director (HPD) and executer of the Human Research Protection Program.
  • Manage the daytoday operations and administrative oversight of the Human Research Protection Program.
  • The HPA must maintain the training and appointment as the Exempt Determination Official (EDO).
  • Implement the terms of the KACH DoD Assurance.
  • Ensure the implementation of appropriate oversight mechanisms to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and the determinations of the IRB.
  • Overseeing/supervising the conduct of onsite HRPP and regulatory compliance audits and assessments of the KACH Assurance.
  • Ensure prompt reporting of noncompliance, as applicable, and facilitates corrective actions and required additional reporting.
  • Serve as site administrator for the Electronic Institutional Review Board (EIRB) and for Collaborative Institutional Training Program (CITI Program).

Degree: Bachelor's or graduate (or higher level) degree with major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
