Associate Director, Admission Events & Visitor Experience

The Associate Director, Admission Events & Visitor Experience will play a crucial role in enhancing the campus visit experience and managing prospective student events and customer service programming.

Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, this individual will integrate the Emerson brand into all aspects of prospective student interactions, contributing significantly to recruitment and the admission process.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Develop and implement strategies for campus visitor experience, events management, and customer service.
  • Work with the Director of Undergraduate Admissions to ensure brand standards in campus recruitment events.
  • Collaborate regularly with Undergraduate Leadership for visit programming strategies.
  • Manage event logistics, venue planning, catering, decor, and technology needs.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts, including call campaigns and college counseling visitation programs.
  • Supervise professional staff and student employees, including training and oversight.
  • Partner with Marketing, Creative Services, Web Services, and Institutional Advancement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and manage personnel issues of staff.
  • Participate in recruitment travel and undergraduate file review, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS - Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform a job.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four years in admissions or a related field.
  • Experience in visitor experience, external relations, student development, call center management, and/or event planning.
  • Valid driver's license required.

  • Strong knowledge of undergraduate experience at a liberal arts institution.
  • Ability to execute innovative admissions programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Skilled in building key relationships and implementing training programs.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent attention to detail and computer skills.
  • Independent judgment in decisionmaking.

  • Typical office setting.
  • Regular Monday to Friday schedule, with required evening and weekend work.

COMPENSATION
Compensation for this position will be between $70,400 - $86,300 annually, commensurate with experience.

Grade of Position: 23-09E

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36.25
