Support Service Representative
Manos Home Care assists people with disabilities and illnesses in their activities of daily living. Our service takes place in client's homes and their immediate surroundings.
We have been in business for over thirty years and are the leading provider of non-medical attendant care for Alameda and Contra Costa's DDS respite and day care programs.
Manos Home Care employs over 1,600 workers, serving clients from a variety of cultures and who speak a variety of languages.
Our company is employee owned through an employee stock ownership program—an ESOP. Manos office hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding designated office closures.Job Summary:
Manos Home Care's administrative team ensures that our commitment to stakeholders is reflected in all operations.
The Support Service Representative will be responsible for being the initial contact person for DSPs, Clients and other community members contacting Manos and are responsible for distributing information, routing contact requests, processing documentation, as well as keeping records and adding and updating information in our data systems.
Supervision:
The Support Services Representative reports directly to the Support Services Supervisor. Specific interdepartmental projects may involve reporting to project leads or leading a project. This position does not have supervisory duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail
- Processing administrative requests from clients and DSPs
- Data entry into information systems
- Tracking activities & documenting communications
- Retrieving, replacing and removing paper files
- Assembling Mailers
- Distributing Paychecks
- Additional Administrative Responsibilities as necessary
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Occasional lifting up to ten lbs.
- Must be able to work in a climate controlled, office environment.
- Vision must be good or corrected to normal to perform normal job duties.
- Hearing must be sufficient to understand information and to perform job duties.
- Ability to read and write in English in order to process paperwork and follow up on any actions necessary.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks.
Knowledge, Skill, and Experience
Minimum Education Required:
High School Diploma
Background Check:
A background check including but not limited to the Department of Justice will be performed prior to hire. Harassment Prevention and California Mandated Reporter Trainings are also required.
Minimum Experience Required: 2 years of administrative experience
Skills Required:
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Able to write coherent, grammatically correct sentences and paragraphs in English
- Computer literate
- A selfstarter
- Fair and modest
- Able to relate to a wide variety of cultures, backgrounds, and abilities
- Diligent and able to maintain focus while working under deadlines and distractions
You must have:
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problemsolving skills
- A willingness to continue learning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Completion of collegelevel courses
- Well acquainted with MS office suite
Wages and Benefits
- This position is nonexempt and hourly; work outside of regular office hours may be required as needed.

Pay:
$23.00 per hour
