- Interview and assess candidates for CFO and bookkeeping positions as part of the hiring process
- Act as CFO for a roster of client accounts
- Assess organizational processes with eye toward efficiency, effectiveness and execution
- Represent Capital CFO management internally and externally
- Other duties as assigned
- Two years experience as Chief Financial Officer or Controller
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks online and desktop
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Supervisory experience
- Journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
- Accounting and corporate finance
- Attention to detail and strong organization skills
- Deadline-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Confidentiality
- Time management with the ability to multi-task
- Complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions

The Director of Accounting ensures that all bookkeepers and CFOs perform all work related to client contract accurately and in a timely manner (30%). Acting as an internal resource for staff, the Director of Accounting provides clear communication, guidance and accounting best practices internally. The Director of Accounting also works with a roster of clients (70%).
