The mission of the National Gallery of Art (the National Gallery or the Gallery) is to serve the United States of America in a national role by preserving, collecting, exhibiting, and fostering the understanding of works of art at the highest possible museum and scholarly standards.
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Account Manager to support our Account Managers in managing client accounts and ensuring the delivery of exceptional security services.
The Assistant Account Manager will play a vital role in assisting with client communications, coordinating security operations, and providing administrative support to the security management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all required services to ensure the smooth operation and security of the National Gallery premises.
- Maintain frequent and effective communication with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and other National Gallery staff to address any issues, provide updates, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor Shift Supervisors and maintain quality control by:
- Performing daily quality control inspections to ensure that security protocols and procedures are being followed according to the Gallery's standards.
- Ensuring that Shift Supervisors fulfill their duties effectively and efficiently, taking corrective action as needed to address any deficiencies.
- Conduct mandatory uniform inspections on all supervisors weekly to ensure compliance with uniform standards and professionalism.
- Collaborate with the Account Manager and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for improving security operations and enhancing service delivery.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of security personnel, including Shift Supervisors, to ensure a skilled and competent workforce.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to security operations, incidents, and personnel matters.
- Participate in meetings, briefings, and training as required to stay updated on security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and other critical situations, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective resolution.
- Act as a liaison between security personnel, management, and clients to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive relationships.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Must be at least twentyone (21) years of age.
- At least ten (10) years of successful experience in the security industry, including experience in civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial or industrial guard service.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing at least a fifty (50) member security service force.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Physically able to perform all duties, functions, and activities required.
Additional Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead and develop an effective team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain positive customer relationships.
- Ability to work in an autonomous environment with limited supervision.
- Proof of attendance of Leadership/Supervisor training course completion.
