ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts QC analyses of client placement determinations (such as recertifications and eligibility), screenings, and referral processes to ensure consistency with Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and DCHA regulations; records QC analyses using the QC software;
  • Identifies the number of client placement activities for monthly analysis; identifies the selections by utilizing the QC software; identifies errors and inconsistencies; notifies the Supervisory Quality Control and Integrity Management of QC analysis results on a weekly basis;
  • Monitors the status of all identified QC analysis errors and inconsistencies;
  • Monitors return of corrections, analyzing corrections and documenting when errors and inconsistencies have been corrected; ensures that corrections are made within the allotted time period; when not in compliance, follows up with Recertification Specialist and/or supervisor as necessary;
  • Provides a summary of results for the month and yeartodate to the department management for inclusion in the division's monthly report;
  • As needed, meets with department management staff to present findings, explain the significance of conclusions, justify recommendations and answer questions concerning noncompliance issues;
  • As requested, assists Eligibility Recertification Specialists in conducting reexaminations of resident income and sources of income for all family members and family composition to determine eligibility for continued occupancy. Duties may including conducting interviews; securing verification and documentation of eligibility factors; identifying and resolving recertification discrepancies; conducting third party verifications via all verification sources available; and calculating resident verified adjusted annual income to determine resident rent responsibility;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and at least (2) two years of experience in a quality control or internal audit position; or the equivalent combination of education and experience which meet the minimum qualifications requirement may be substituted.


The District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA) conducts pre-employment screening on specified positions, which may include but is not limited to a criminal background check, drug and alcohol testing, verification of academic credentials, licenses, and certifications, and/or verification of work history.
