DutiesAs a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT ANALYST at the GS some of your typical work assignments may include:
Incumbent will serve as the Chief of Staff of the Research and Development Directorate (RD), exercising full authority to act on all issues pertaining to all RD offices throughout the Agency and with external partners.
Manages all aspects of the RD's daily undertakings and the management and direction of staff on behalf of the Director and Deputy Director.
Organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information for RD leadership to facilitate efficient and effective decision making.Coordinates the execution of strategic initiatives and makes decisions to implement recommendations, tasks appropriate staff members to implement processes and recommends organizational changes for efficient implementation.
Initiates policy to develop and establish standards, and monitors and evaluates operations against established performance measures and advises the Director and Deputy Director as appropriate.
Reviews matters of Agency-wide significance to ensure that procedures, processes and operational plans are in accordance with the policies and plans of the Director, RD.Responsible for the administrative, human resources, and resource management programs of the RD Directorate.
Develops policies and procedures to enhance coordination and improve integration among subordinate RD departments. You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
Experience providing broad oversight, advice, and analysis to provide effective guidance to senior leaders (GO/FO/SES) to enable decision making, and the ability to turn decisions into action, implementing broad guidance and strategic efforts to effect positive organizational changes.
Broad experience with handling sensitive matters, including resource analysis and decisions, in a dynamic environment with a high focus on both critical missions and broad personnel management.
Exceptional communication skills, including written and oral communication with highly technical (e.g., engineering, scientific) and non-technical (e.g., legislative, budget and financial) professional communities.
Experience organizing and prioritizing critical issues and required information for senior leaders (GO/FO/SES) to facilitate efficient and effective decision making.
Experience supervising a diverse team of technical and administrative professionals in conducting business to support a large, dynamic organization.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Education
