    Description

    We are looking for a creative and ambitious individual to join us as the Marketing + Social Media Manager (MSMM) for our site.

    The MSMM will focus on achieving three key goals in the first year:

    • Be the primary voice of The Speedway both online and offline
    • Assist the current team in significantly expanding our customer base across all community members and partners
    • Coordinate cross-platform marketing strategies to enhance sales and community involvement at The Speedway

    About the role:

    • Manage and execute the marketplace's front-line communication initiatives
    • Work towards The Speedway’s marketing objectives, maintain distinct branding for both assets, and aid in creating and managing content for social media accounts
    • Develop and oversee photography and marketing materials for The Speedway and Garage B
    • Support the promotion of original Speedway programs and manage events calendar
    • Assist in marketing public-facing programming in Garage B and site-wide events
    • Attend events for asset creation, as well as actively promote and assist when necessary
    • Help manage the website and bi-monthly newsletter, conduct influencer outreach, and communication with photographers

    What we require:

    • Prior experience in marketing, public relations, and customer service
    • Demonstrated strong writing and communications skills with a minimum of two years managing social media platforms
    • Proficiency in photography and graphic design
    • Familiarity with major social media platforms and tools such as Facebook, Pinterest, Google My Business, and Instagram. Knowledge of LinkedIn, Yelp, and YouTube is a bonus
    • Experience with Planoly or similar programs, SEO, Keyword research, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office, and various web-based software products
    • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, web design, and WordPress
    • Outgoing personality with the ability to interact with various stakeholders
    • Highly organized with the capability to set and achieve short and long-term goals
    • Effective time management, adaptability, and comfort in working both independently and within a team

    What to anticipate:

    • Part-time position, 20-25 hours per week, compensation based on experience
    • Regular presence at The Speedway
    • Flexible hours including weekends/evenings, with the option for remote work
