Reporting Relationships:
Position Reports to: General Manager & Managers


Subordinate Staff:
None


Basic Functions:
Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Demonstrates excellent customer service. Consistently prepares drinks by following recipes. Maintains bar and equipment in pristine condition and adheres to all sanitation and health guidelines. Ensures precise cash handling procedures.


Essential Functions:


  • Mixes and serves drinks for guests in the bar as they are ordered.
  • Mixes and serves drinks for waiters as they are ordered.
  • Properly records and calculates all guests' orders on the bar tickets.
  • Offers correct change or processes charges for guests promptly.
  • Follows all cash handling procedures and policies.
  • Takes food orders for guests at the bar.
  • Cleans, stocks, and maintains the bar throughout the shift.
  • Follows all safety and sanitation policies.
  • Serves drinks in clean and polished glassware.
  • Cleans up and organizes the bar after the service ends.
  • Records and accounts for all complimentary drinks properly.
  • Restocks the bar.
  • Communicates information about guest requests, out-of-stock items, and new products to all team members and managers.
  • Performs extra responsibilities as requested by a manager at any time.

Qualifications:


_Knowledge_:


  • High school diploma, and previous experience in a bar and restaurant
  • Understanding of standard alcoholic recipes
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local liquor laws

  • Proficient in English language and professional communication

  • Performs effectively under pressure

  • Dedicated to delivering quality service with a good understanding of food and beverages

_Working Conditions_:


  • Standing for 95% of the working time
  • Sitting for 5% of the working time
  • Exposure to varying environmental conditions like cold, heat, and water
  • Capable of moving up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 35 pounds regularly
  • Must have accurate hearing with correction
  • Must have 20/20 vision with correction

_Level_:
Able to work under moderate supervision.

_Non-Essential Duties and Functions_: Utilization of a Point of Sale System.
