Key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Official Data Protection Officer
  • Establishing a data protection management system
  • Developing and updating a data protection concept and issuing service instructions and agreements
  • Monitoring and supporting compliance with data protection regulations at the City of Norderstedt
  • Participating in identifying violations of data protection regulations and conducting data protection checks
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations when implementing new or changing existing data processing measures
  • Advising the administration on the selection and design of procedures for processing personal data
  • Participating in the approval of automated procedures according to § 5 (2) LDSG and conducting preliminary checks
