**House Attendant**
**Department:** Housekeeping
**Reports to:** Housekeeping Manager
**Status:** Non-Exempt
Share this Career Posting: The soon-to-open Residence Inn by Marriott Tampa Wesley Chapel is located on the 120-acre campus of the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Complex of Pasco County. Our hotel provides more space and more flexibility, so our guests can travel the way they love to live. 128 spacious suites with full kitchens, expansive outdoor spaces, an on-site market, and a robust, daily hot breakfast create a homelike atmosphere. The Skybox, the only rooftop bar in Wesley Chapel, features spectacular views, refreshing beverages, and small plates.
House Attendant will be responsible for assisting the housekeeping team with their everyday operational materials, cleanliness, and amenities to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with the Marriott standards under the franchise of Mainsail Lodging & Development.
*Status: Non Exempt $12/hour + Benefits*
**Essential Functions:**
Strip the rooms in preparation for cleaning
Enjoy having FUN with the willingness to help others
Acknowledge guest in all public spaces with a warm and friendly greeting
Distribute the necessary items to the assigned housekeepers
Clean and organize all hotel public space
Take care of any guests special requests for pre-arrival e.g., foam pillows, extra towels
Sweep and/or vacuum hallways daily
Clean inside the elevators and polish elevator tracks and landings
Maintain storage closets in order and keep par levels to standard
Keep stairwells and ice machine areas free from debris
Follow scheduled shifts and follow break and lunch requirements
Deep clean on rotational schedule
Assist Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor with VIP arrivals
Report any light outages, broken equipment, or room disparities to manager paying close attention to hallway areas
Assist guest with any special requests
Ability to communicate with manager on inventory needs e.g., amenities, pillowcases, bed linen, robes, etc.
Professional communication while using technology
Respect all guests, team members, and management by maintaining a positive, friendly attitude
Ability to interact with guests and share hotel knowledge using personalization, such as using the guests name
Maintain guest confidentiality following all hotel procedures
Report any suspicious activity or unusual items in room
Report any irregular behavior from guests in public areas and/or in rooms
Ability to take initiative and handle assignments with limited supervision
Follow all hotel policies and procedures as outlined in the team member handbook
**Qualification Standards:**
**Education & Experience**
Previous hospitality experience preferred
Previous cleaning experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads
**Physical Demands**
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to squat and bend
Ability to communicate clearly
Corrected vision to normal range
Ability to work long hours as needed
Ability to lift / push / pull 50 lbs.
**Mental Demands**
Make sound judgments quickly
Work on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlines
Able to work independently, take direction, and provide direction to others
Manage differing personalities within the office, the hotel, and the community
Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
