Job Summary:

The Delivery Driver is responsible to drive company vehicles daily on established routes.

The driver will deliver company products to customers, ensuring on-time, accurate and safe deliveries, while providing exceptional service to customers.

The driver builds positive relationships with customers every day by making sure their needs are met. The driver will also pick-up products as required.

• Reviews route plans for the day to note any possible route conflicts, including routes not approved for commercial vehicles and road closures
• Performs daily vehicle safety inspection
• Loads delivery vehicle with orders scheduled for delivery, reviewing each order with delivery ticket to ensure accuracy
• Secures loads to DOT regulations
• Delivers orders to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
• Picks up products along products on the scheduled route, including items ordered from suppliers as well as customer returns and other items as requested.
• Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
• Reports any vehicle service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Keeps interior and exterior of truck clean and organized
• Reports all mispicks/shorts to manager
• Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to drive safely.
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or webbased or physical maps.
• Ability to plan delivery routes.
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Class A or Class B license required
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• Forklift certification
• Reliable and Accountable

Education and Experience

- High School diploma or GED

- One to two years' experience as a delivery driver in a distribution environment preferred

- English language skills to read and interpret documents

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Requirements:


This position requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 100 pounds regularly, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing and ascending/descending stairs. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds regularly. Must be able to load and unload packages with and without pallet jacks in various types of conditions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend or longer hours may be required based on business needs.
