Description

GEOKON, INCORPORATED (est. 1979), The World Leader in Vibrating Wire Technology, is a manufacturer of sensors and instrumentation used in civil, mining and structural engineering projects throughout the world.

We are currently seeking a Supervisor for our Machine Shop department, This person will oversee all aspects of the Machine Shop to make sure that customer requirements and shipments are met.

Review and maintain current list of MS related Sales Orders to assure that schedules are met
Maintain an efficient work flow
Work with engineering group in developing "X" jobs
Review Exto jobs in process and at completion.
Review Machine Shop practices for effectiveness and recommend improvements
Actively participate in Production and Supervisor meetings
Annual Performance Reviews
Hiring and terminating employees as required
Develop and maintain training records for direct reports.
Setup and run equipment
Follows work instructions and verbal instructions for unique and standard requirements.
Maintains equipment and a clean work environment.
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures


Requirements:

High School diploma with 3 to 5 years of experience required.
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Excel and Outlook).
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
Organizes and completes required paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Complies with ISO 9001 requirements
Strong mechanical aptitude required
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Follows and observes all safety procedures/ requirements stated in GEOKON's Safety Manual
