General Laborers for a new hire group scheduled to
start on Monday, July 29, 2024.


Our organization has tripled its size in the last 5 years and to support our transformation and growth, we are seeking
Production Operators (General Laborers) to join our team.

Operators provide support to multiple departments by assisting and/or operating paper mill equipment, including material handling equipment and tools. He or she is also responsible for obtaining supplies for Operators and performing general housekeeping.


We Offer:

- $24.72 per hour starting pay
- $ retention bonus within 9 months
- $3.00 per hour for weekend shift premiums $1.00 per hour for weekday night shift premiums

The
Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Must follow Ahlstrom's manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable to the position's areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper
  • Assist equipment Operators in all areas of production
  • Haul and hoist materials using powered industrial trucks and cranes; load and unload material from machines
  • Assist with quality inspections
  • Perform regular housekeeping
  • Participate in safety improvements throughout the facility

Minimum Occupational Requirements:


  • High regard for performing safely and an ability to work well with a team
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis
  • Ability to successfully pass a postoffer drug screen and background check
  • Ability to work a 12hour, rotating shift schedule

Physical Occupational Requirements:


  • Perform arduous work, defined as lifting 100 lb. maximum with assistance
  • Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Work at heights and near rapidly moving machinery
  • Operate lifttruck and hoists
  • Work in a hot and humid environment
